Visit by the Director of IOPC Funds
Japan Maritime Center (JMC) had visit by Mr Gaute Sivertsen, Director and Mr Okugawa, Policy Officer of IOPC Funds on 13 April 2023. Mr Shukuri, Chairman, Mr Hiragochi, President, Mr Shimono, Executive Director, and Mr Nakamura, Senior Researcher of JMC are very pleased to have opportunity to discuss the joint project which was agreed when Mr Shukuri visited the Headquarter of IOPC Funds in the last September.
Mr Shukuri explained plan of seminar in this October as a joint project and discussed the seminar program with Mr Sivertsen. In addition, Mr Sivertsen explained recent development of oil pollution incidents involving the IOPC Funds and concern over a growing risk of maritime incidents causing oil pollution damage. They shared concern over actual impact and potential risk of the oil pollution incident to the Funds.
