Japan Maritime Center (hereafter referred to as "the center") recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and all officers and employees of the Center shall comply with laws, regulations, and other rules concerning the protection of personal information, and shall make every effort to protect personal information held by the center.

The center will clarify the purpose of use of personal information and handle information provided by the individual who provides it to us voluntarily.

Personal information will be used only within the scope of the purpose for which it was collected, and will not be used for any purpose other than the work required for survey and research activities.
Policy for managing personal information
- We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the individual, unless there are special circumstances as described in laws and regulations.
- We will take necessary security control measures to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, and unauthorized access to personal information in our possession in accordance with laws and regulations.
- In addition, if the individual requests disclosure, correction, deletion, or cessation of use of personal information that we have obtained, we will comply with such requests without delay in accordance with the law.
